Playing their part in local philanthropy – Introducing the Chulick Family Fund
The DeKalb County Community Foundation is pleased to announce the Chulick Family Fund, a Donor Advised Fund created by Tony and Micki Chulick of DeKalb to align with their philanthropic interests for the community.
When asked about the purpose of creating the fund, the Chulicks replied, “We believe that each of us has a part to play in building a strong community. We feel our part is to support local organizations that make DeKalb County a great place to live.” The Chulicks went on to add, “We chose the DeKalb County Community Foundation as the vehicle for our giving because we have confidence in the foundation’s ability to manage our donation wisely, to help guide our charitable giving, and to manage our fund for generations to come.”
Community Foundation executive director Dan Templin commented, “We are honored to partner with the Chulicks in their philanthropic goals. Donors like them support both the Community Foundation’s mission and organizations and causes they care about through charitable funds managed by us.”
Of the 300+ funds managed by the DeKalb County Community Foundation, 28 of them are Donor Advised Funds. Donor Advised Funds provide donors a more hands on approach to their personal philanthropy by allowing them to make grant recommendations from the fund over time.
