The Council on Foundations is a membership organization that provides various services for all types of foundations, such as Private, Corporate, and Community. Most Community Foundations find CoF's legal department to be indispensable.
CoF dues are calculated based on asset size.

The Advancement Network Inc.’s (AdNet’s) mission is to strengthen the capacity of community foundation professionals to be the best in class in new fund and business development, engaging professional advisors, and cultivating and serving donors as philanthropic advisors by offering members:
- Professional development programs
- Networking opportunities, webinars and forums to exchange ideas and effective practices in the areas of outreach to and stewardship of donors and their advisors
- Support of appropriate research opportunities relating to resource development and donor services
- Representation of our shared interests to related membership groups, such as the Council of Foundations.

ProNet’s purpose is to provide leadership on grantmaking and programmatic issues facing community foundations.

KACF hosts an annual conference for "Growing Community Foundations" that welcomes CFs from all over the nation.

What we do:
CFLeads offers conferences, forums, webinars, resources, structured intensive learning opportunities for foundation leaders, and consulting services to the community foundation field. In 2016, CFLeads engaged with 333 individuals representing 208 community foundations and their community partners.
We are committed to community leadership as a key strategy for delivering community impact. Our results show we learn best from our peers.
