The DeKalb County Community Foundation’s Program Director, Anita Zurbrugg, has announced her retirement at the end of this year after over 7 years of service to the Foundation. Her responsibilities over the years have included directing the Foundation’s various grant programs, leading community initiatives such as Kindergarten Readiness, Youth Essential Skills, Watershed Planning, Community Economic Development, providing early critical leadership to the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership (DCNP) and Youth Engaged in Philanthropy (YEP) programs, and contributing to the Foundation’s overall success.
“The Foundation has grown tremendously since 2011,” said Dan Templin, Executive Director. “Anita’s leadership has contributed to our grant programs and community initiatives growing in their scope as well, including implementing many efficiencies and making a difference in the lives of many organizations and the people they serve.”
The Foundation has posted two full-time employment positions in response to Zurbrugg’s retirement, its strategic priorities, and anticipated continued growth.
